Zero Tillage in Combination with Seed Treatment by Different Biofertilizers Increased Soil Organic Carbon, Macro and Micro-nutrients Status and Nodulation under Faba Bean (Vicia faba L.)

Background: Symbiotic association with different microbes is an integral and ecologically vital component of legumes. Most previous studies focused on sole application microbial agents, limited investigating the effects co-inoculation agents under tillage practices soil properties. The current study aimed to assess effect practice seed treatment biofertilizers inoculations chemical properties nodulation faba bean (Vicia L.) crop. Methods: was conducted in factorial randomized block design (FRBD) two system viz., T1: Conventional (CT), T2: Zero (ZT) eight biofertilizer inoculation combinations Rhizobium spp., phosphorus solubilizing bacteria (PSB) vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizae (VAM) replicated three times during rabi 2019-20. Result: significantly increased organic carbon, available nitrogen content soil. number nodules/plant, nodules fresh dry weight/plant were recorded higher ZT as compared CT spp. + PSB VAM over other except VAM. DTPA (Diethylenetriamine pentaacetate)-extractable Fe Mn enhanced by biofertilizer.
